Acclaimed actress Ingeborga Dapkūnaitė will share her tips for preparing for a role and explain the differences between acting in theatre and in film. She will speak about her works with Russian and international directors, including Nikita Mikhalkov, Pyotr and Valery Todorovsky, Aleksei Balabanov and Alexei Uchitel. Dapkūnaitė has performed in theatres in Vilnius, Chicago, London and Vienna. Familiar with different aspects of theatre and cinema worlds, the actress will speak about contemporary art, new theatre institutions and new challenges faced by actors today. 

Ingeborga Dapkūnaitė is an acclaimed film and theatre actress, Distinguished Actress of the Lithuanian Soviet Socialist Republic, awarded a Nika for the Best Actress in Nights Near Moscow (1994). She studied at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, started her career at the Kaunas State Drama Theatre and later worked at Lithuania's Youth Theatre with Eimuntas Nekrošius. She received international acclaim after her roles in the cult films Intergirl by Pyotr Todorovsky and Burnt by the Sun by Nikita Mikhalkov. She works with the State Theatre of Nations in Moscow and teaches at Moscow Film School. She has received many Russian and international awards and has been on the jury of festivals in Berlin, Cannes and Venice.
