Workshop with Konstantin Bogomolov

About performance

Theatre as a memory

Konstantin Bogomolov states that, in order to perform in the modern acting school graduates will have more success if they learn from scratch. Neither traditional analysis of the work, nor commonly accepted manner of speech satisfies the director. Despite an already established provocative image, Bogomolov not only shocks the audience, but also develops his own way of working with actors. In this way the phrase “I don’t believe it!” - is positive feedback. In his master class the director will talk about ways of text interpretation; ways of perceiving the underlining psychology of a performance; the principles of existence for the modern actor on stage, principles of montage, abandonment of the profession and most importantly - relating to the stage as a space of memories, not living.
