Born in 1972, Ksenia Peretrukhina graduated from the Faculty of Cinematography at the All-Russian State University of
Cinematography (VGIK), School of Contemporary Art at the Russian State University for the Humanities and School of
Contemporary Art at the George Soros Open Society Institute. In 2002-2009 she was the art director of the PUSTO (EMPTY)
Street Video Art Festival. As an artist, has participated in both Russian and international exhibitions. Ksenia Peretrukhina
was nominated for The Black Square (Chyorny Kvadrat) Contemporary Art Award (2007) and The Kandinsky Award (2008).
Her works as set designer and video artist include collaborations with the Theatre.doc, Centre for Dramaturgy and Directing,
Praktika Theatre, Prokopievsk Drama Theatre, RAAAM Tallinn Theatre, Theatre of Nations, Stanislavsky Theatre, Laboratory
of Contemporary Opera, Bryantsev Young People Theatre, Moscow Art Theatre (MXAT). She has worked with such directors as
Marat Gatsalov, Mikhail Ugarov, Georg Genoux and Dmitry Volkostrelov. Prize winner of the Special Jury Prize at the Golden
Mask Award jointly with Dmitry Volkostrelov (2013). Along with Volkostrelov and other School of Theatre Leaders graduates,
Ksenia Peretrukhina is organizing the anniversary season 2013/2014 of the Taganka Theatre.
