Kirill Serebrennikov is a director of theater and cinema, an artistic director of the Gogol Center.
From 2001 he permanently works in Moscow. His performances take place in the Moscow Pushkin Drama Theater, the Moscow Academic Art Theater, the Sovremennik Theater, the Theater of the O. Tabakov, the Mariinsky Theater, the Bolshoi Theater, the Komische Oper in Berlin and many others.
In 2008, he recruited an experimental acting-directing course at the Moscow Art Theater School. The "Seventh Studio" was formed from this course in 2012, later becoming one of the residents of the Gogol Center.
In 2011-2014 he was an artistic director of the "Platform" project in the Moscow Contemporary Art Center "Winzavod."
From 2012, he is an artistic director of the Gogol Center.
Laureate of the "Triumph" prize, “Stanislavsky” prizes, "Chaika" theater awards, the "Crystal Turandot", the "Golden Mask".He is the director of the films "Bed scenes", "Representing the victim", "Yuryev day", "Treason." The film "Apprentice" entered the program of the Cannes Film Festival in 2016.
